A seminar under the patronage of the UK Embassy in Lebanon and in the presence of his Excellency the UK Ambassador Mr. Tom Fletcher was organized by “Fairey Industrial Ceramics Ltd. UK”, the manufacturer of “Doulton® and British Berkefeld®” ceramic drinking water filters with the presence of “Tawrid – Fairey water safety” the local distributors under the title “water treatment solution for Emergency Relief and Syrian Refugees”. Bader, Berytech Fund II, IM Capital, Lebanon for Entrepreneurs (LFE), and MEVP Impact announced the launch of tech accelerator Speed@BDD in Beirut on the 29th of July 2015.

Speed@BDD is Lebanon’s only Y Combinator-style accelerator, and it is intended to be a collaborative effort among Lebanon’s leading investment funds and entrepreneurship support organizations to build an elite community for top-notch startups.

Rasamny Younis Motor Company (RYMCO) opened a first of its kind outlet store in Jal-el-dib, Beirut to sell new Nissan models from previous years that were never bought or used before. These cars were transferred from the dealers and from stocks of neighboring regional dealers.
