Ford Motor Company Conservation and Environmental Grants Programme Awards a Total of US$100,000 to 18 Local Organisations in the Middle East and North Africa

  • In 2015, Ford Grants expanded its reach to cover environmental projects in Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco
  • Two projects from Lebanon received a total of US$12,500 Ford Grants focused on environmental education and conservation engineering
  • Programme has awarded recipients from the region more than US$1.5 Million over the past 15 years

TRA supports Child Protection Committee’s awareness campaign

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has concluded its participation in the activities of the ‘Ambassadors of Safety’ awareness programme launched by the Child Protection Committee of the Dubai Police’s General Department of Human Rights under the patronage of H. H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The participation of the authority reflects its commitment to developing society and promoting the UAE's efforts to address children's issues and provide a safe environment for the children of the country.

DEWA plans special expedition to the Amazon Rainforest

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will be sending some of their employees on a special expedition to the Amazon Rainforest in Peru in May 2016. The move is part of DEWA’s ongoing efforts to achieve its vision to become a sustainable innovative world-class utility, and raise awareness about environmental issues, especially conserving natural resources and reducing carbon emissions.

Imdaad observes Earth Hour 2016 to raise awareness about global environmental issues
