Slight increase in air conditioning setting and dimming of external lights at regional malls will save 35 tons of CO₂

City Centre Beirut, part of Majid Al Futtaim, and leading fashion, social, leisure destination in the city, celebrated the Earth Hour initiative through turning off the lights in the Mall and through a premiere innovative digital and onsite initiative, to raise awareness about the importance of reducing energy consumption.

Alfa CEO and Chairman Marwan Hayek welcomed in his office President of the first Green building NGO “ G “, Nader Al Nakib with a delegation from the association which organized the Earth hour initiative –Lebanon.

Alfa, managed by Orascom Telecom, took part in this global initiative aiming to highlight the threat posed by climate change, as the official telecom sponsor of Earth Hour in Lebanon.
