Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) launched an interactive story titled, ‘Hamad and Dana Discover Solar Energy,’ to explain the concepts of science, technology, and engineering to children. The move supports the UAE wise leadership’s efforts to instil a culture of reading and spread knowledge among younger generations. The book incorporates a simple scientific layout, with plenty of graphics and s and a scientific kit for experiments. The story revolves around two hardworking children and their parents, who are positive role models to the family.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), opened Health and Safety Week, which is internally organised by DEWA, and is being held across all DEWA branches from 12-15 December 2016. Health and Safety Week is organised to discuss best practices in quality, health safety and environment at work, supporting DEWA’s Integrated Management System (IMS) policy, and its commitment to providing a healthy and safe work environment.
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is taking part in the Arab Social Media Summit 2016 as its Sustainability Partner. The summit, which is the world’s largest event for Arab social media influencers, is held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. It will be held from 13-14 December 2016, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
