On the Dbayeh seaside lays a busy construction site for a community in the making. Waterfront City is the name of this rising city; which will seek to bring people together in a single living environment designed for the future needs of both residents and visitors.
The project will provide many offerings in one location: the modern contemporary living with more than 2000 apartments that answer to every customer needs and aspirations; the bustling business hub with a state-of-the-art, first of its kind Business Park, to attraction opportunities for shopping, leisure and fun namely through hotels, health clubs, parks and many other facilities.
Majid Al Futtaim Properties and Joseph G. Khoury et Fils launched this project with a greater belief in the resilience of Lebanon. With the notion that positivity in contagious, a new City with endless choices is being built.
In fact, the developers of the project have provided a substantial support and investment to the Lebanese economy in terms of both USD spent and job creation. The 250,000 sqm project will provide hundreds of jobs from the construction phases up until the realization of the project.
This belief has started to materialize, as the city has begun to take shape. Noting the scale, the project is being launched in phases; in line with the receptivity and demand of the market. To date, three phases have been launched including both residential and business offerings.
Phase one, set to start delivery in 2015, is steadily moving along; with the Plaza Residence reaching the 4th floor and the Promenade steadily rising close above ground. With the delivery date approaching there is a lengthy team working around the clock to ensure that construction timelines are met while adhering to top standards.
In the upcoming years the various phases will start to unfold as the City begins to be injected with life.
Beyond the business aspect of giving back to the country, Waterfront City is a firm believer in giving back to the community in which they operate. Waterfront City Cares, the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of the project, stipulates that with each of the residential units sold, 1,000 USD will be pooled into a fund whereby grants will be awarded to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) who present proposals that fall under five main pillars: environmental sustainability, women empowerment, education, healthy heart, health and safety and road safety.
To date, 10 projects across the various pillars have received grants and initiated their project with the support and collaboration of Waterfront City Cares.
To sum it up, Waterfront City is rising with the belief in Lebanon as its foundation and giving back to the community as a key pillar.
