In collaboration with national airline Oman Air, the Ministry’s road show covered three major Saudi cities, namely the capital Al Riyadh; Al Khobar in the eastern province; and Jeddah. Major local travel agents and corporate clients were given an opportunity to meet with the Ministry’s industry partners from Oman to discuss ways to bolster efforts that will position the Sultanate as a main tourist destination in the GCC region. Salem Adi Al Mamari, Director General of Tourism Promotion, Oman’s Ministry of Tourism, said: “As in the past, the road show will give our tourism campaign a significant boost – allowing us to strategically reach our target market with ease. This year’s road shows aimed at highlighting our country’s beauty and the reasons it has been attracting global attention over the past few years. To help us in our goal of reinforcing Oman’s status in the growing regional tourism market, we partnered again with Oman Air whose attractive travel packages have been helping to bring in more visitors from Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries. We also established partnerships with local travel agencies to effectively and efficiently promote Oman to potential visitors.” Oman Air, the national Airline of Oman, is committed to providing safe, reliable and profitable air transport services for passengers and cargo as well as other aviation-related services. Apart from its strong business presence, Oman Air is respected for its professional attitude and recommended for its punctuality and service excellence as well. The Ministry of Tourism and Oman Air’s strategic partnership for the upcoming road show is seen to further harness Oman’s immense tourism potentials and generate a more positive global outlook.
