December, 2014; Visitors to the Gargour Automotive showroom in Dora will find a very festive, very green installation outside the facility as of November 29th, as the company kicks off its holiday season’s celebrations.
“At Gargour Automotive we’re always looking at different ways to do things,” said Negib Debs, Chrysler Group General Manager at GAC. “And this year we thought why should Christmas be any different?”
“So we came up with the idea of building a 3.5m tall tree, decorated with used Moparparts and accessories from our own workshops and Body Shop - not only will this be totally unique, it will also see us embracing sustainability in the truest sense!”
GAC assigned professional painters from their Body Shop to carry out the painting of these parts in a festive mix of green and red - the installation features everything from old disc brakes to 7 slot Jeep grilles, and all of GAC’s employees got the chance to get involved in the decoration of the tree, in a festive celebration based around the true meaning of going green.
The installation will be completed and unveiled on Saturday November 29th and will remain on display outside the showroom throughout the Christmas period.
“It’s a great way for us to demonstrate our commitment to the environment,” added Debs. “By using used parts and accessories that were destined for the scrapheap we will come up with something that’s not only totally unique but is also the ultimate in upcycling. And by involving our team, we also have the opportunity to raise their awareness of the need for sustainability at all levels right across our business.”
