Ericsson completes acquisition of German consulting firm

• Allolio&Konrad, a consulting firm headquartered in Bonn, Germany, specializes in transforming telecommunications operators’ business operations and IT systems
• Ericsson acquired 100% of Allolio&Konrad’s operations, offered employment to all its consultants, and the transaction closed on November 30

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) yesterday completed the acquisition of Allolio&Konrad, a consulting firm headquartered in Bonn, Germany, that specializes in transforming telecommunications operators’ businesses.

Founded in 2001, Allolio&Konrad primarily addresses the European telecommunications market but also has a growing business with customers in the utilities and finance sectors. In addition to business transformation and IT change management expertise, Allolio&Konrad provides assurance, strategic advisory and program delivery services.

This acquisition will increase Ericsson’s digital transformation capabilities in Western and Central Europe, particularly in the areas of process transformation and change management. Allolio&Konrad’s relationships with telecom customers should lead to increased synergies and efficiencies, while experience in areas beyond telecom will support Ericsson’s global ICT leadership ambitions.

Allolio&Konrad will be maintained as a separate unit and address its existing customers while also sharing knowledge and expertise with Ericsson’s 18,000 consultants and systems integrators worldwide. Ultimately, the new unit will become the backbone of Ericsson’s consulting organization in Region Western and Central Europe.
