DEWA Receives 5 bids for Phase III of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received 5 bids from international organisations for the third phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, said HE Saeed Mohammed AlTayer, MD & CEO of DEWA. The lowest recorded bid at the opening of the envelopes was US 2.99 cents per kilowatt hour. The next step in the bidding process will review the technical and commercial aspects of the bids to select the best one.

Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and FANR organise awareness workshop on nuclear energy strategy

Dubai Supreme Council of Energy organised a workshop to introduce the National programme to produce electricity using peaceful nuclear energy. The workshop, organised in collaboration with the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR), promotes nuclear energy and encouraged closer collaboration within the public sector for it.

MD & CEO of DEWA visits 200MW second phase of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) visited the second phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, which holds a capacity of 200 megawatts (MW) and is one of the parks current projects, located in Seih Al-Dahal, Dubai. The progress made on the project supports the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to provide 7% of Dubai’s energy from clean sources by 2020.
