Middle East cleaning & hygiene industry to soar 275 per cent to USD 81.65 billion by 2020
Dhofar Global, a leading supplier of hygiene products in the Middle East, has announced its participation at Middle East Cleaning Technology Week (MECTW), the region’s first ever international forum for the cleaning and hygiene industry. The company is also the Hygiene Partner of Clean Middle East Pulire at the event, which will take place from November 13 to 15, 2016 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
According to recent studies, the Middle East cleaning and hygiene industry is expected to surge a massive 275 per cent to touch USD 81.65 billion by 2020 from USD 21.7 billion in 2015, with demand for sustainable cleaning products predicted to spur a 4 per cent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) to USD 51 billion by 2021. In light of such robust industry expansion, Dhofar Global will leverage MECTW’s platform to throw the spotlight on its innovative and sustainable cleaning and hygiene products as well as conduct live demonstrations with the aim of addressing the region’s growing demand for state-of-the-art cleaning and hygiene merchandise.
Chandan Singh, CEO, Dhofar Global, said: “In the past couple of years, the world has witnessed widespread epidemics, putting the spotlight on the importance of sanitation and cleanliness. While the hygiene standard is very high in the UAE, the use of sanitation products continues to rise due an increase in residential, commercial and hospitality properties, population growth, and a steady influx of tourists. In addition, Expo 2020, which is predicted to welcome over 25 million tourists, will further drive the demand in coming years to offer a neat, clean and pleasurable experience to visitors.”
“MECTW offers a broad platform for Dhofar Global to reach out to a wide range of trade visitors, showcase our range of products, and gain market insights by networking with other exhibitors, industry leaders, and senior government officials. We have been a regular at the show since 2012 as we find it a lucrative opportunity to reinforce our bilateral ties with existing clients and at the same time reach out to potential customers. As the Hygiene Partner of Clean Middle East Pulire, we will focus on spreading awareness about the importance of hygiene and sanitation in everyday living for a disease-free and healthy life,” concluded Singh.
The UAE is one of the world’s cleanest countries, ranking 25th in 2014 as per the Environmental Performance Index, followed by Saudi Arabia and Kuwait at 35th and 42nd position, respectively. With the strong interest of the government and other public and private sector entities, the standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the UAE will continue to grow. Dhofar Global will be present at Stand C-CM18.
Organised by VIS Exhibitions, Middle East Cleaning Technology Week aims to spread awareness about the importance of building a sustainable future by bringing all facets of the cleaning industry under a single umbrella. Through its three verticals, Clean Middle East Pulire, Gulf Laundrex Linen Care Expo, and Gulf Car Wash Care Expo along with industry-focused conferences and awards, it aims to focus on the latest green cleaning, washing, dry cleaning, and sanitation solutions.
