The Lebanese Association of Engineers of the French Grandes Ecoles (ALIGEF), organized on Thursday April 16th 2015, at Le Talleyrand restaurant, a high profile networking dinner. The event gathered besides the association’s members who are engineering graduates of French Grandes Ecoles, influencing private sector stakeholders, comprising business and social figures particularly owners of engineering, and construction companies, in addition to decision makers at Lebanese banks.
In its continuous efforts to help energize the Lebanese economy and equip it with superior manpower and solid talents, ALIGEF went on to organize this dinner that gains importance, given the caliber of participants who comprise main players in the Lebanese private sector. This gathering helped freshly graduated and experienced engineers educated or working in France, to network efficiently and get introduced to key influencers in the business and major sectors needing engineering skills, consequently building up relations that could lead ultimately to cooperation opportunities and finding employment vacancies in their home country.
President and Founder of ALIGEF, Georges Louis Ziadé, stated in this occasion: “We have launched concerted efforts with the engineers of the Grandes Ecoles in France, and with key business figures and government officials in the country to organize this platform that we judge very beneficial for both sides; We want to bring back our best talents from abroad and in return benefit Lebanon and its economy from talents and the experience those engineers accumulated overseas.” ALIGEF aims to create links between engineering graduates of the French Grandes Ecoles, while consolidating relationships amongst all engineering graduates of major French schools residing in Lebanon.
The Association organizes regular conferences and scientific seminars in addition to scientific, technical and cultural trips. Members of ALIGEF include graduates and alumni of Centrale Paris, Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Telecom Paris, Ecole Polytechnique, Supélec and ESTP.
