The general assembly of the syndicate of advertising in Lebanon announced the election of a new board as such; President, Mr. George Jabbour, Vice President, Mrs. Carole Hayek, Secretary, Mr. Joe Ayache, Treasurer, Mr. Claude Hajjar and eight members to its board; Ms. Grace Sahyoun, and Messrs. Alain Hochar, Alain Yazbeck, Fadi Asmar, Mazen Moussallem, Naji Boulos, Serge Dagher and Wilson Issa As of February 2015, the syndicate will officially be designated as the “Syndicate of Advertising” according to the Ministry of Labour’s approval on the decision to officially changing its designation. This was preceded by the amendments to the bylaws of the syndicate, thus opening the doors of the union to any company that deals with the advertising industry. As part of its function, the syndicate will establish an office to receive complaints and defend the rights of all advertising companies. The elected president expressed his gratitude towards all those who offered support and contributed to the continuity of the advertising profession in Lebanon. He also praised the achievements of previous councils and expressed determination to pursue the mission of the syndicate in raising the profile and image of the advertising industry in Lebanon.
