Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) will again demonstrate its commitment to Africa at this year’s AfricaCom 2017 under the theme “Partnering for success at the Digital Frontier in Africa” while highlighting how it is enabling technology and turning great ideas into global realities.
Ericsson will showcase a wide range of solutions, innovative partnerships geared towards unlocking new opportunities in the region, delivering user experiences that are efficient and profitable, paving the road to 5G, IoT for Africa, and connecting the unconnected.
“Ericsson has identified a major opportunity for telecom operators to address industry digitalisation with revenue potential of $619 billion by 2026. In fact, operators can benefit from 36 percent additional revenue from 5G-enabled market opportunities by 2026. Capturing this market potential requires digitalization which is non-optional for future success. Only a holistic approach that reinvents the operating model can ensure a successful digital transformation journey considering technology, processes, people management and partnerships together” says Indranil Das, Vice President and Head of Digital Services at Ericsson Middle East and Africa.
Ericsson experts will use the AfricaCom platform as a base from which to demonstrate revenue growth opportunities for its customers, while showcasing how to increase mobile broadband adaptation in Africa as it digitises the continent.
