February 8, 2015, Dubai – Today, DuPont, a leading integrated science company is addressing the World Food Security Summit at the Gulfood Leaders Conference 2015 taking place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai – United Arab Emirates [UAE]. DuPont will participate in a panel discussion, “Increasing the Involvement of Corporates in Resolving Food Security Challenges”.
General Manager, DuPont UAE, Amin Khayyal said, “Food security represents a growing global challenge, as the world’s population increases by more than 75 million people each year, reaching more than 9 billion by 2050. DuPont is committed to driving food security efforts locally, sustainably and collaboratively with customers, business partners, governments and public-private partnerships to address these challenges.” The World Food Security Summit at the Gulfood 2015 will discuss the role of the private sector to tackle the food security challenges and develop strategies to encourage alliances and initiatives. The summit will also open a dialogue to agricultural development and ways in which multinational organizations can contribute towards a reduction in food wastage.
