Dunes and Beirut Bay Lions club collaborate tohostRima play in a night full of laughter

Beirut, January15, 2015: Dunes, the first commercial center in Lebanon, joined together with the Beirut Bay Lions club tohost ‘Rima,’aone-woman play performed by Rosy Yaziji and written and directed by Joe Kodeih, on January 13, 2015at Dunes Center in Verdun. Since its establishment in 1997, Dunes Center has gone from strength to strength, regularly hosting, as well as featuring top acts, from shows and performances to movie screenings. An eager fan base awaited Yaziji, Lebanon’s renowned actress, to kick-start the night with one hour of non-stop laughter. A talented actress and entertainer,Yaziji perfected a delightful ‘Rima’, a staged melodrama featuring singing and dancing. Mr. Ziad Dakroub, Executive Manager at Dunes, commented, “We are proud of Dunes’ ability to entertain, educate and enrich through the events it has hosted so far.” Proceeds of this event were given to the Beirut Bay Lions Club, an organization composed of men and women who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in the community by conducting service projects and activities including emphasizing diabetes awareness, hearing impairment, education and research into eye problems, environmental issues, and community welfare as well as raising funds and serving the youth.
