Beirut - Bassoul Heneine is back on the motor rally championship scene through their sponsorship of the Clio R3T, the first to arrive in the Middle East, which will be driven by Henry Massad and his co-driver Ramy Menhem at the Lebanese Rally Championship.
The Clio R3T is the brands new customer racing car, conceived specifically for rally racing, and uniquely built to perform as well on gravel as it does on tarmac. Equipped with 17 inch wheels for asphalt and 15 inch wheels for gravel, the Clio R3T benefits from exclusive front and rear suspension systems. When it comes to power, the Clio R.S. 200 EDC’s 1.6-litre turbo-charged engine delivers exceptional performance. This primary asset, developed by Renault Sport Technologies, develops 240 horsepower and an outstanding 480Nm of torque.
Renault Sport has for now developed 30 R3T sport kits for the international racing market. On the occasion of the Lebanese Rally Championship, Henry Massad will be at the wheel of the Clio R3T, with the number 21; the one and only Clio R3T in the Middle East.
Mia Bassoul, Marketing Director for the Renault brand in Lebanon, and Associate Partner at Bassoul Heneine, stated that: “Sports in general, and motorsports in particular, are in our genes. We offer our complete support to Henry Massad and Ramy Menhem, and hope they will bring home a victory at the wheel of their Clio R3T.”
Ramy Menhem is for his part extremely happy with this partnership; “After 15 years racing and intensive hard work, I am finally able to realize my dream; that of racing with my own team under the colors of Renault Sport and of Bassoul Heneine.”
