Following the success of Baalbek International Festival and Caracalla Dance Theatre
The Ministry of Economy and Trade organizes an award ceremony
Following this year’s outstanding event of Baalbek International Festival, which attracted many Lebanese and foreign visitors, in spite of all the challenges that the Beqaa region have been recently facing, the Ministry of Economy and Trade has organized an award ceremony in honor of the organizers of Baalbek International Festival and Caracalla Dance Theatre on Saturday, August 27 at temple of Bacchus, Baalbek. In appreciation of their dedication, the Ministry has honored the Baalbeck Festival's president, Mrs. Nayla de Freige, the Governor of Baalbek Hermel Mr. Bashir Khodor, the mayor of Baalbek brigadier Hussein Lakkis, and members of Caracalla Dance Theatre, closely associated with the festival, and offered them recognition awards. The ceremony was attended by a representative of the Parliament Speaker, the Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Mr. Ghazi Zaiter, representing the Prime Minister, the Minister of State for Administrative Development Affairs, Mr. Nabil de Freij, as well as regional ministers and deputies, general managers, and spiritual, economic, political, cultural and security figures. The award ceremony was followed by a cocktail in honor of the audience. The success of this festival reflects the best expression of the Lebanese people’s love for life and their trust in the security agencies, which have recently worked on implementing the required measures to prevent conduct that affects citizen security. Not to mention the devoted organizers who looked after the festival and insisted on organizing it, by coordinating with the security agencies. Finally, Lebanon is still witnessing an economic growth in the region during the festivals, despite the recession caused by the Syrian crisis and its repercussions on the region.
