Three-day event attracts thousands of bikers worldwide
Ducati UAE, part of Al Masaood Group, a highly diversified group of businesses, participated in the World Ducati Week on its 10th edition held recently in Misano, Italy where thousands of Ducati bike rider champions and enthusiasts from around the world gathered for a three-day celebration featuring a wide range of exciting activities such as racing, riding courses, and Italian-style summer entertainment. The event was attended as well by this year’s Rookie Cup champion, Lara Pepler and members of the Ducati Owners Club UAE.
The 10th World Ducati Week, which was certified as a sustainable event, took place recently, witnessed the presence of past and present world champions of the MotoGP and the Superbike. Participants also took part in DRE Academy riding courses and tested the latest 2018 models. Families and friends of Ducati bikers also enjoyed the signature Ducati Scrambler Land of Joy rally, as well as the musical events, beach party, and acrobatic stunts held during the weekend.
Ducati fans also watched the thrilling challenge of ‘The Race of Champions’ at the Misano World Circuit where renowned riders and Ducati flagbearers past and present competed head to head riding the limited-edition Panigale V4 S motorcycles. MotoGP and Superbike riders such as Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Lorenzo, Danilo Petrucci, Jack Miller, Chaz Davies and Marco Melandri joined the challenge, including first-rate rider Troy Bayliss.

Desmo, inspired by Ducati’s unique engine, was established in 2010 and has since been growing steadily. Packed with weekly activities, the club meets in cafes for meetings and every Friday morning, the group rides together on pre-planned routes around the UAE enjoying their motorcycles and the iconic Ducati brand.
